It might not have seemed so long if I'd settled for a launch-spec dealer car instead of configuring from scratch and it hadn't got delayed by Cowley building stock for the US launch. But I hope Soper's do a decent PDI and give it a proper road test to shake out any rattles while they're fuelling it up.

Got it on Friday after exactly 3 month's wait. It's the first Clubman D that Soper's have been able to get to a customer's spec and they say they won't be able to get any more for months.

Ta very much!

I went for the chrome mirrors for practical reasons originally as I hoped they would resist the scuffing that's marred the looks of my previous cars - with power folding as the MINI is too wide to fit easily into my garage - and only realised afterwards that the chrome "bumpers" came with them as incidentals. They're OK but don't exactly excite me.

The parts of the spec I'm happiest about are the body colour roof and black "C"s as every other Clubman I've seen so far has had a contrasting roof and/or silver "C"s and looks just wrong to me!

The worst part is the DAB radio that simply doesn't work. (But I'm sure Soper's will fix that!)

dlpruk, your BRG Clubman is stunning - love that interior color.

Have any of you seen the BRG Clubman with the leatherette interior? In the USA, the leatherette is a two tone black and grey... Can't afford that lovely Tuscan leather and am wondering how the BRG would be with the two tone black/grey upholstery. Am considering a BRG/Black.

P.S. Just a note to add that the USA's leatherette is NOT as it is pictured on the MINIUSA configurator...thankfully. Instead it is really quite a dark color all the way...if there is a difference in tones it is marginal.
