Clubman driver window - any ideas?

The driver's window isn't closing properly. I'll try and explain this but as you open the door, the window adjust down and then up when the door is subsequently closed. It isn't doing this now and leaving a gap.

The garage are looking at it on Thursday which is hugely frustrating as I am not around tomorrow and it can't be seen then and not happy about leaving the car where some muppet may see the gap as an opportunity to break in (paranoid - moi?)

Sorry if this post should be somewhere else - thought it best to start here...

So, if anyone has any ideas on this, all responses are most welcome. Thank you. Kx

Have you tried using your spare key?

I dunno if window opening is one of the many settings that get stored in the key memory but at least it might be worth a try, if only to eliminate it.

Hi Mini Flower, this is worth a try,

1 Get in the car, and turn on the ignition.
2 Lower the window fully using the switch, and when its at the bottom, continue to hold the switch for a few more seconds.
3 Raise the window fully using the switch, again at the top hold the switch on for a few more seconds.
4 Re-test the windows....
