Offline | Clubman D MPG? Just wondered what everyone was getting out of their diesel clubmans. I am averaging 50-51mpg on 16" alloys, with a mixture of motorway and town driving. The car has just done 2000 miles. Now that it tells me when to change gear, I am doing my best to do as I'm told! I am getting frustrated at the size of the tank though-I am filling up after about 380 miles when the clock says I have about 35 miles left in the tank and is on the last light. I could squeeze 480 out of my old Peugeot between fills, but these more frequent visits to the garage are increasing my Chunky Kitkat consumption! |

Offline | all depends on driving style obviously, but on a run of 120 miles driving carefully, and not exceding speed limits (too much) , we acheived 63 mpg.usuall it does about 50 - 53 mpg, but thats about 75% driving on dual carriageway at 70mph. cant see us getting anywhere near the claimed 76 mpg though!! ![]() ![]() Clubbin' it and Lovin' it |

Offline | Doing 63mpg. My daily return commute is 70 miles, and half my journeys are not done in rush hour so I get a completely hassle free run on duel-carraigeways, A & B roads....Good for the clutch & my MPG!!!! ![]() |

Offline | Man you guys drive carefully! I'm 2,400 miles in, and am averaging 46.8 on the computer readout...Not brilliant, but loads better than the 30.7 on my 2004 facelift Cooper. M ![]() |

Offline | consumption - clubman diesel Guys, If I'm very careful, Im getting 60- 64 mpg on the computer but my own calc, each time I fill up is about 55 - 59. I have a 70 miles per day commute, half of this on the motorway. Does wheel size make any difference - the tyre diameter is surely the same and the alloy diameter varies (I'm on 17s just in case) I'm driving at about 58 miles per hour on the motorway (when I remember) - at 70 mph it seems to knock about 5mpg off the consumption. Regards Shaun |

Offline | My Clubman is returning between 58 and 66 mpg on my commute, on mainly back roads and through towns. Having only covered 673 miles so far, I'm pretty happy with that, as the miles pile on the motor should free up and get better mpg. I have 17 inch wheels on mine. |
