Offline | Dirty rear Has anyone moved from the R53 S to a clubman. I see pictures of clubmans with dirty rear doors but wondered if it is as bad as the original S hatch? I was hoping as the rear of the car sticks out more it might help. ![]() Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs |

Offline | I ran an R53 s for four years, following two years of cooper ownership. I picked up my Clubman S a few weeks ago and have enjoyed nearly 1600 miles..............here's the good news you've been waiting for, the rear windows, while still prone to the dreaded dirt and road salt, are not as bad as the hatchback. I'm not getting through screenwash nearly as quickly as I used to! I think the slightly extended overhang behind the back wheels helps here. Obviously this ability to shirk the dirt was not my only reason for choosing the clubman, it's the extra rear seat space, refinement, style, boot space...... the list goes on and on, I'm loving it even more than I thought I would, getting some great attention at petrol stations and car parks too. If you're thinking of making the switch, go for it! |

Offline | Just thinking at the moment. The bigger boot is not a priority but the extra legroom would be very useful as I often have adults in the back. However I am annoyed at the clubdoor being on the wrong side and don't particularly want to reward MINI with a sale with their attitude to us RHD drivers .![]() Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs |

Offline | I was quite successful at getting out from behind the driver (while still seated) when I tried the club door out. Its quite a shock but seems to work. Suprised me. I agree its silly getting out into traffic though. Don't like getting out of the back without the club door though far too far back without the club door. Try it out see if they will lend it to you for a day or so if your thinking develops! I like it more I see it! xxxx ![]() |
