United-Kingdom Centre Armrest -- Fitted

Love it or hate, seems opinion is devided although I must admit that when I first saw it out of the box the name 'Heath Robinson' did spring to my mind.
Well now it is fitted and it doesn't look too bad.
What it has done is got rid of the ache I experienced in my left lower back after journeys of 50 miles or more.
Guess I must slouch but having my elbow resting on something has done the trick.

So is it worth it -- @ £120 fitted probably not
Does it look good -- see pics, not bad down but a bit silly in the raised position imho
Other issues -- renders the handbrake unusable when in the down position

As I said love it or hate it

I ordered bluetooth with my R56 S. That gave me MFSW and the armrest (docking bay for the mobile). I don't use any of those functions lol .... there's no docking option for my mobile - Samsung- and cruise isn't needed in the UK in my opinion.

Anyway I don't like the armrest .... seems pointless to me. I drive with both hands on the steering wheel and don't need to lean my arms on anything

United-Kingdom

Must be an age thing.
Senior Clubber say it all, I was very nearly old enough to drive when the original Mini came out.

Im 24 years old (Suppose that is quite old) and would not be without my arm rest for 1 minute, I love it!

Also love how the silver bit around the armrest glows with the mood lights

How tall are you guys?

I had one of these armrests fitted last week and had to have it taken out immediately. I could neither pull the handbrake with it down, nor could I reach the gearlever with it up?

I'm 5'11" and have the seat quite far back (about 2" between the seat back and the rear seat base). When I raise the armrest it just sat pointing vertically a long way forward of the seat back so it was right where my left elbow wanted to be.
