Yellow with silver roof

I am about to buy my first mini (a clubman) and am considering color options. I am thinking of the combination of mellow yellow with silver roof/c-pillars. Has anyone ever seen this combination? I can't find any pictures of this, and the dealer seemed somewhat skeptical.

What do you think? Since there is no white option for the clubman, has anyone who wanted a lighter top gone for the silver?

I can understand where your dealer is coming from, its not a 'common' combination. Ive never seen one with this combination, but im sure there must be one somewhere..!

Also, you will only be able to get the Mellow Yellow on a Cooper Clubman

Seems to work better than Yellow/White in my opinion. I still maintain that black is the perfect colour to have with yellow, but then I would be slightly biased on that matter.

Yes I know -- this is so distressing! I really wanted a yellow car, or, if not that a pastel like oxygen blue (which isn't offered in the clubman). If I end up with the S under the current color schemes it would be chili red with a black roof -- much more conventional.

The other thing I am thinking about is getting the gravity punch leather so that I can have a colorline to match the outside of the car (e.g. gravity black with yellow for a yellow car, or gravity black with red for a chili car.) If one gets the lounge leather the configurator doesn't allow the matching colorline.

Opinions?

My Clubman has a silver roof, can't complain about it one bit, though it would look very silly to have a silver roof and the panormaic glass roof.

I saw a Mellow Yellow/Black Clubman on the road earlier today and it looked awesome!

This one had white/black chequered bonnet stripes too.

I've ordered the M.Y. Clubman with silver. The pictures created on the Mini Build One site look much more white than silver, and in the dealers showroom the silver (seen on a blue clubman) is even darker than I thought. But since I don't want to look like a bumble bee in yellow and black I will go with the silver. And yes I did order a sunroof despite the post mocking that, but and planning to add static clinic vinyl to match the silver and block some additional sun. No pictures until April delivery.

Not to worry, there are many Clubman tooling around with silver roofs and sunroofs.

Congrats on your order! One of the big marketing methods of MINI is the ability to choose such a myriad of colors and specs.

Pippi, Please do send in pictures when you get them. What did you do about the interior? Did you go for the yellow line? I want black lounge leather for certain.

My big decision now is whether I am OK with a regular Clubman or if I really want a Clubman S...

Finally here are the photos of my car; I picked it up yesterday. I did not get the yellow interior color line because I am not that keen on the yellow-black combination and I also thought the yellow items on the interior would show fingerprints and grime too easily and that would bug me. Got the vegetarian interior (leatherette); no leather for me.
Lack of "S" turbo for mellowyellow doesn't seem to be a problem--plenty of horsepower for city and highway.
