I've read in the Clubman specs thread about a tow hitch being available. Wondering if anyone has one or knows about its existence and capacity? Naturally, I will ask my MA...but I so love knowing the scoop ahead of time.

A sales manager I talked with said that there were no plans to officially release a tow hitch for the USA. Liability issues was his understanding. That sales manager no longer works at the MINI dealership anymore.

No tow hitch was ever officially released by MINI for the standard Mini Coupe either, but that never stopped a bunch of people from getting one. I have been thinking about getting the hitch for a Clubman when/if I trade in my 2002 Mini.

My MA in Boston told me (Feb 19th) via email that "... I did find out for you that
despite what I thought, they will be creating a trailer hitch to install on
the back of the Clubman, it just won't be available right away."
