Offline | Hi just got back from shopping, and the cooling fan has come on @ 9 degrees, surely thats not right, to top it all it was extremely noisy. Was on a normal run doing a very steady speed, normal operating temp, auto heating is on at 21 degrees, (as it has been from day one 1600 miles now) got home let it run for a few more minutes, but had to switch it off as it was too noisy, lifted the bonnet and there was a smell of burning plastic. Switched the engine back on after a few minutes and it was fine. Its going in this Tues for some minor warranty work (broken and missing exterior trim) so will mention it to the guys. This has worried me a little, has anybody else had the same problem? My car is a Clubman Cooper D built October am I worrying too much |

Offline | if your cooling fan is on it may be that the air con is on the fan will come on all the time to cool the gas back to liquid, this would be normal and you also say the inside temp is set so i guess the air con is on as well |
