![]() Settled.. | Runflat tyres are standard on the Cooper S whether you have 17 or 16 inch wheels. Therefore, you can run on them for 100 miles at a reduced speed of 50 mph MAX. This is with no air pressure in the tyre whatsoever. Hope this helps ![]() Oh btw... welcome to MINI2 ![]() |

Offline | I disagree ![]() A spare will allow you to travel longer until you source a replacement runflat at a decent price. Also, a spare gives you the option to move to non-runflats if you fancy doing so in the future. Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | When I changed my S to non runfalts I put a can of tyre foam and a small compressor in the boot just in case. The extra space under the floor is so usefull I have 15's (not runflats) so I have the Mini Mobility kit I believe its called and a whole load of polystyrene foam to hold all the bits and pieces screwdriver locking nut etc I intend to dump the moulded stuff and get a bag for all the kit freeing up even more storgae space. Welcome to the world of Clubman by the way. I have a set of 17" allloys in the garage I intend to use them in summer and will probably put one of the 15"s in the boot for longer journeys as a spare. |

Offline | This is what I plan to do, when the runflats are due for a change I will buy an extra 17" wheel and have 5 standard tyres fitted. I reckon the price of 5 standard tyres will still work out cheaper than 4 runflats plus give a better ride. |
