Arrow So you don't have a Clubman?

This site has 52 361 registered members. Many of you have a Mini.

71 members have a Clubman. Members with no posts included.

If fifty thousand users with other cars think it is important that you don't like the Clubman, this is probably the right place to have a go at it.

In fact, please use this thread for that.

Over at Cooper S and the other forums I bet the posts are not mainly non-owners nagging about their issues with the design of a car they don't have. For the last couple of days it's felt like that, even an attempt to make a joke here ended with the same sad discussion. Hopefully things will get back to normal...

So let's hear it....

Thats it your catching on but you still have a few ours left to bemoan the fact BMW have personally affronted you by only fitting one door and that you cant fit a double bed in the back of it despite BMW having the audacity to call it an estate.
Ooh and dont get me started on the styling.

Morro has a good point though but also the detractors are a minority many people can dislike something without having to pee on everyone else's chips about it. There were many threads bemoaning the R56 styling and how it was not selling but they have gone quiet now.

We call them "Hating Threads"
North American Motoring has lots of them.
They start out " Doncha just hate -----------, I wouldn't buy one, but they just make me sick to look at a MINI with --------------- Color, wheels, engine, tires, roof rack, interior."

In order, they Hated the CVT, Cooper, Cooper S automatic, GP, R-56, and now the Clubman. And any car with Daisy Wheels.

The baton will pass when the AWD MINI hits the market.

Anyone moaning about the Clubman obviously has never tried one. I've driven mine a bit over 200 miles today and love it.

Just like a Porsche 911

Just a question about your mighty impressive 3 day epic is this the nearest dealer for you?

No, my nearest dealer is about 10 miles away. I saved over $3000 dollars by buying from the farther dealer.

Right I know some people make big journeys to get to there nearest dealer in the US but wondered if this was the case. Must have been fun though I once delivered a car to Belfast, 230 miles to Stranraer in Scotland then a Ferry to Belfast . Lunch and a Guinness then Plane home to Manchester then train to Manchester Centre then bus home via the pub heck of a day but fun.

Well, I tried one for the first time yesterday, and I must say that I really liked it.
I liked it a lot more after reducing the 50 psi dealer installed air pressure in the tires to the correct pressure.

I don't care where the Clubbie door is located, and the rear vision obstruction of the door pillars is a piece of cake compared to the huge spare tire mounted in the rear window of the Toyota FJ.

I did take out the false floor, the boot cargo cover, and I have my eye on rear seat removal. I suppose I wlll have to build my own rear seat delete cover, I have not been able to find a commercial one.

Project for the morning is to mount the nice wide 15" Konig Rewind wheels with the 205 series tires. It will lower the MPG a little, but (Dare I say it?) I think it will look better, and it will survive pot holes better.
