Passenger side heated rear window

Hi all
can any body tell me if the Passenger side heated rear window works( the one on the side window not the door )or is it just there for show or is it there so you can see when you are traveling down country lanes sideways

I still like the idea of being there as a visual aid for sideways driving.

I'm guessing its some sort of aerial as well, seems a bit OTT for them to put a heater element in the back passenger window then not brag about it.

Besides would it not be on the wrong side for us UK drivers?

Actually it is on the correct side for UK drivers (it's on the left of the car). It's all wrong for the rest of us . Assuming it is a heater. I have no idea what it does!

I think we will leave it as an aerial I don't want to start any more right and wrong side clubman discusions

I am led to believe it is there as standard, as we also dont have the dab radio fitted, the one on the roof is for fm
