United-States Colorado Mini Clubman

Greetings, all:

I just placed my order for a Mini Clubman S (auto) in British Racing Green and black top (with dual sunroof). My Motoring Advisor confirmed that the order was in. Now, it's a 60-120 day wait for it to arrive in Denver. I'll soon be frustrating myself compulsively tracking the ClubS every step of the way.

Albert

Greetings and welcome from another person who is quite fond of your color combination! The waiting time certainly heightens the anticipation.

Although this will be my third MINI, I'm still obsessed by it all - so enjoy the pre-ride!

Hi and welcome! I love the BRG/BLK combo, it's beautiful. A little dark for my taste, but nice nontheless.

United-Kingdom British Racing Green

Congratulations, you will absolutely love it! The Clubman is one of the few cars I have owned that I actually look forward to driving and am sorry when I reach my destination and have to get out!!

And your BRG/Black colour scheme is stunning. The combination I would have chosen, if ordering from the factory - I bought a dealer stock Clubman.

By the way, you might be interested to know that your post appeared on Google Alert with a link to MINI2. If you are not aware, you can register a Google Alert for any subject, and get daily emails in your mailbox. I entered "Mini Clubman" and automatically get all the reviews, news items etc, but not usually MINI2 blogs so that was a surprise.

I'm laughing - I have a Google alert set for my daughter's college but never thought about setting one for the Clubman.

It is so Albert can find the car in the snow!

Nice choice, post a pic when you get it. Welcome to the best MINI forum in the world.

ClubS in the snow

Greetings from Colorado:

I've always like the BRG; it's a great classic Mini color. While the Hot Chocolate was nice, I didn't really want a brown car. I did like the Nightfire Red available in the Club model, but I couldn't choose the non-S over the S model. My currently VW New Beetle is very zippy, and I enjoy the get-up and go. When you live in Colorado, and everyone around you drives a huge SUV or 4x4, it's great to zip by them in style (an added plus that they burn so much gas when they try to keep up...LOL!!)

The BRG/Black combo is a little dark, but after looking at all the colors close-up and personal at the dealership, I was convinced it was the only color for me. Plus, my partner OK'd the color combo too

I'll try the Google Alert for Clubman. I'm very excited about the impending arrival.

I really love the Mini2 forums. It's overwhelming how much info there is on here. I used the forum when selecting some of the options (pro and cons). Very helpful.

Thanks for all the replies.

cheers,
albert

AprilWhine:

what colors did you end up with?

I just saw a phone to with white turn signals on a BRG/Black ClubS. I just called my motoring advisor to add that to my order. The white light had a great color "pop" with the black pillars.

cheers.

I have a mellow yellow, currently it had a MY top. My hubby is going to paint the top and rear trim orange.

I couldn't stand the wait time in Denver so ordered my clubman in NY and will have it in less than a month. We will have to meet up and do a drive when you get yours. Great choice on the color we wanted it but coming from a dark car we went all the way to the other end and got pepper white.

Indigo38y: thanks for the color cheer! I think it will be a striking combo.

MBX5: my last car is a metallic blue, so although I liked the laser blue, I couldn't opt for another blue car. The pepper white is a good color; plus a good constrast if you're getting away from the dark colors. I thought about ordering from the East Coast, but a trip out there and drive back doesn't really work for my summer schedule. Do you already have word that your Clubman is on its way?

cheers!

Yes it's on the boat now and expected to be in NY port on the 28th. I went to Schomp but didn't have good experience with the MA I was working with. Long story but to this day I am waiting for a call back to let me know what car they can get me and how long. I would have placed my order with them but I need to be back in NY anyway so it worked out perfect.

Sorry that ther RSM experience wasn't a very good one. Nonetheless, you're Clubman is on its way and that must be very exciting. I can't wait to be in that position.

I do have a question that maybe you can answer: for the Mini maintenance pkg that's included, does that have to be done at a Mini dealership or can a BMW one handle it (and not void that warranty).

cheers.

For the free maintenance, it has to be done at a MINI dealer. You can have it serviced at most BMW dealers, but would have to pay BMW prices.

AprilWhine, thanks for the mnx info. I figured I was tied to a Mini dealership for the 3yr complimentary mnx. I'll save my BMW spending cash for more Mini accessories : )
