Might be Joining the clubman gang very soon!

Have found myself a nice PW clubman cooper.

Very good spec for the price, full leater, sunroof, arm rest among other things.

Just wondering though whether anybody knows when the Aero Kit will be available for the clubman? Other than something on motoring file nobody seems to know!

Do you think the front bumper will fit anyway because surely its the same as the front of all the others!

Anyway if I decide to go for it then I shall let you all know but I've been for a drive and Im pretty happy with it so far. Just trying to decide if I can live without the pace of my MCS... I can live without the fuel bill thats for sure!

Welcome to the growing ranks of Clubbers, sounds like a good spec too

I went from an s to a Cooper as well, in fact I think half the posters on this forum have. It gets annoying at times when the car doesn't surge forward in a blaze of mayhem, then again I like seeing the MPG readout get over 50mpg too

AFAIK the front bumper from the hatch aero kit fits fine on the clubman, only problem is that the normal Clubman kit looks a little lame... sorry I meant tame. There are a few examples of Aero kitted cars around, the best place to look and get an idea of fit is on the Mini cherished website at the ex-demo cars the dealers have in stock.

sounds excellent plenty of people have swapped from an S to the Clubby, so I don't think you'll miss it too much, not once you've got used to it anyway - how about looking out for a Dooper Clubby even?

A dooper clubman is what Im really after, its only this one has "jumped out on me" by total chance.

At the moment the whole thing is pending the dealership sorting out the mess they have made with my current car. If Im not happy then the switch will be made.

If I don't go this route then Im fairly confident I will do later on in the year... one way or another I will be in clubman for my next MINI I love them!

Good luck in sorting your choices out - they are many, especially for you lucky folks who can buy a dooper.

Dorset way...

I actually saw a nice Pepper White Dooper Clubman in a dealership at Exeter, the only thing is that it is an ex-demo car. Not sure I would want that as no doubt its been ragged about the place for the 4k so miles that its done. What would you all think to that?

I personally wouldnt want a ex-demo on any car, for the way they clearly get treated, not just in driving, but also about the seats etc, people in and out of them, scuffs on the plastic trim etc etc.

Go Dooper, you'll love it (Have you driven a Dooper Clubman? Its alot different to the Cooper for sure! I couldnt wait to get my Dooper back after a week in a Cooper Clubman!! )

I have driven a dooper but not a dooper clubman.

I still think diesel is the fuel of the devil

Anyway I actually thought that the Dooper was a rather nice car to drive. I had a basic Cooper (R56 and salt pack) for a week and then a Dooper which was pretty basic for 3 days after that and have to say I prefer the engine of the Dooper. Playing the "how many miles can I get to a tank" game in the Dooper was fun, I played the same game in the cooper they gave me but the opposite way round

Needless to say I don't think that the Cooper does quite as many miles as BMW think in their brochure.

Im planning on a little adventure to the Ardeche in South of France this Aug and I think that the Dooper Clubman would be the weapon of choice for this. Hell with cruise control stuck on those nice roads could probably get there and back without having to pay euro's for my fuel

Noooo I don't want the Park Lane, its the better half thats wants that.

As you discovered, Scotthall has such a pants service department the way its going they are making Woods look professional. Anyway thats another story.

I've started exploring new avenues and the Clubman is looking like the popular choice for me. Still depends on my current car really. Im so confused with it all even I have lost track now lol!
