I just picked up my new Clubman S today. I did not get the automatic folding side mirrors (I'm in California and didn't need the heat or wipers) but I can't tell if the mirrors fold manually or not. I don't want to force them if they don't fold.

Can anyone shed any light on this? If they don't fold manually, any tips on after-market installation of automatic folding mirrors?

ERU,
In the states, the automatic folding mirrors are part of the Cold Weather Package, which goes for $500.
It includes:
Heated Seats
Heated washer spray
Automatic Folding Mirrors - Why anyone needs these is beyond me. Manually works fine.

Once you've had heated seats, you'll never do without.

I specced them because my single garages are only just wide enough for the car without them folded. (A silly design, I know, but I didn't spec the house!)

And I'm now in the habit of folding them whenever I park!

DLPRUK-That's one narrow garage.
My response was meant for the original poster, who's in California, where most garages are two cars wide.

Many UK houses have double-width doors too but the architect who designed ours thought two singles side-by-side looked better, which I think is daft as it ignores function. But ...
