Clubman D Discount/Deals?

Hi,

I've seen a few folk on these forums claim discounts upto 2% off list, or more typically a few hundred quid off. sometimes just on dealer supplied extras, sometimes not specified.

Best I'm being offered in mid Kent right now is a free TLC (150 pounds) from 2 dealers.

Any recommendations as to any dealers worth giving a phone call? I don't care if it's half way up the country.

Or are Clubmans just imposible to get a sensible deal on?

I know the official BWM policy of "no-discounts" but it rather flies in the face of my "never pay list price" policy

Cheers

Tim

Clubman Ds are difficult to spec at anything but list you might find a Cherished dealer-stock car you like for rather less.

I think you would struggle to get much more than the TLC pack to be fair. It does all depend on the dealer of course, and there is always a margin for a little discount, but good luck trying!

The other thing is that with the Diesels its probably even less likely! They are still rather few and far between, and they arent going to sell it to you at a discounted price when they know they can sell it to the next person for list...

Thanks guys,

I'll go ahead and let the local dealer have the sale. At least I feel fairly satisfied that I'm not missing a trick!

I've got used to getting discounts off the likes of Curries and Comet without any real effort (I'm no negotiator) and this was a little surprising...

Many thanks

Tim

when we ordered our clubman diesel last october we could not get one penny off it but they would give a discount on a petrol cooper or cooper s clubman.
i don't think that has changed much now as the diesels are highly sought after,if you are getting tlc thrown in i would go for it and try and get a bit knocked off the finance as well if you are using finance, theres no harm in asking, they can only say no.
regards
Iain

A friend of mine took a stock car Club Dooper that was 95% what he wanted spec wise and managed to negotiate £300 discount too. At the time (end of Feb) he was offered about 6 Clubs in his colour choice

Bottom line do some homework, be a bit flexible on spec and you can get a car quite quickly and with a £300 discount

I got a great deal from a dealer on the south coast more than 2% off the total cost, only dealer fitted extra was the spot lamps, I had quite a lot of extras on mine.

I got a good deal on mine, clubman S because the dealer hadn't met their targets so look around and see what other dealerships are doing

Bl**dy 'ell. If they still ran a ferry from Tilsbury Docks (in London) I'd be over. Assuming Mr Dealer could do a right hand drive spec.

OK, seriously, I think the general concensus is I'll not do any better so I'll stay local for simplicity.

Thanks folks!
