Must admit colours have been a bit of a weak link for MINI for quite some I wouldnt mind but the best colours are the ones the keep faffing about with Cool Indi Electric Hyper Laser Blue anyone?

The Nightfire red in question is nice and it was on my list of possibles for our clubman but living in Oldham average days of sunshine per year about 3 its just not bright enough.
I must admit the Hot Chocolate does manage to work even covered in poop on a dull day wich is a surprise.

My answer to your dilemma get White or Red and spend the money saved on heated seats I did

Shaun has made a good point. Though I really like my Pure Silver for its simplicity and ability to hid rain and water spots and dirt... I was just saying to my husband yesterday that my next MINI will probably be a free color - a PW again or a daring CR.

First love: MC CVT Indi Blue/White '04
Past MINI: MC CVT PW/Black '06
Present MINI: MCCa Pure Silver/BLK '09 w/roof rails

I was told that BRG/SILVER was the least popular colour by the buying chap at syntners a few months ago

I was after a dark silver & black, the dealer had one parked next to dark silver & silver. Went for the dark silver & silver roof with silver C pillars. I think it looks great.
I'm always worried about the reds fading!
We also have a astro black h/back
Happy motoring

As far as forking out money for your car is concerned, it wouldn't surprise me if buyers told you the least popular (and therefore worth least for trade-in) was whatever colour you happen to be offering!!

I wouldn't care what the dealer said if I want a colour then i will buy it if more people did that instead of nodding along to the likes of Pube head on top gear there wouldn't be this wild difference in depreciation figures.
I was told by many you shouldn't buy an S without Chili like I was breaking the law screw that No Chili or No Sale take your pick Mr dealer.

We've had blue cars for a number of years now, so we (i.e. she who must be obeyed) would like a nice metallic red this time round - and feels that the red/black roof combination looks very good on the Clubby.

However, this means the only option is Nightfire Red. Not only does the other half feel it's too dark, but the dealer said it was the least poular colour, and he insists this would impact resale/trade values later

So, here we are, ready to order, money in the bank, and stumped by the colour option!

Are we alone in this dilemma?

Ian

get a custom paint job! problem solved

That's what I'm going to do; BRG and white roof, bonnet stripes and C-pillars. Make the new guy look just like my old guy

On Sunday, Mrs H bought a car that she didn't like th elook of in a colour that she didn't like.

Two minutes into a test drive and she knew it was the car for her. Sadly it wasn't a Mini - she opted for an Orange Skoda Fabia - and it has to be said that it is a very good car indeed.

Is that a recommendation, Paul? You still happy with yours?

It just goes to show how poor MINI's colour palette is getting now, especially with the loss of Lightning Blue soon

I agree that Nightfire Red is too dark. Looking at the pics, I think Chili Red/Black combo looks awesome on the Clubman

Or...keep the blue theme going and opt for Lightning Blue/Silver roof as that looks stunning too

I totally agree! I find it hard to believe that they are ditching Lightning Blue for Horizon Blue - if I couldn't get the metallic red I'm after, then Lightning Blue is the ONLY other colour I would order for my new R57........
