Well, we (i.e. she) finally settled for a Chili Red Clubby D - and that includes roof and mirror caps. The C-pillars and roof rails will be black, we can't wait to see the final result in Feb!

(Now we need to think of a name....)

Ian

[QUOTE=dalboyne;3608158 but the dealer said it was the least popular colour, and he insists this would impact resale/trade values later .

It sounded from your description as if the dealer was trying to talk you out of buying the nightfire red. What was up with that? Was he simply agreeing with your spouse or was he tryijng to steer you toward another color? I can't imagine a salesman talking a customer out of a purchase unless he had some ulterior motive such as to steer you to a more expensive car.

Funnilly enough, it was the reverse! He has a Chili Red in stock, so we think he wanted to encourage us towards his exisitng stock cars, instead of going for our own spec. Which we have done.....

I see. He was selling you what he had on the lot. But you made a great choice in my humble opinion. The Chili Red with black looks spectacular. Best of luck!

Ian,

Nice choice - if I hadn't have gone for PW/B my next choice of clubbie would have been CR/B. I think it's a fantastic looking combo with the black providing a striking contrast to the red. Surprisingly, my wife (who doesn't really like the look of the clubbie) saw one in that combination before my clubbie arrived and remarked how good it looked! (Probably helped that the one in question was tarted up to look like the JCW Clubman in the brochure with carbon fibre bits everywhere and black vipers though!). I think the roof rails make the car stand out from the rest of the crowd too (I have to admit, for me they were a totally cosmetic addition!)

Like you we're looking at horizon blue on the cabrio front although Midnight Black is still not fully rejected yet.

Enjoy!

One thing to remember is Nightfire Red is only available on Coopers, not S models.

I have a NFR/Silver combo, and I quite like, it. It is a bit dark, but the silver does brighten it up. I like the look of the NF/B too.

Of course, you can't really go wrong with CR/B either. Although, it is probably the most common color it seems. The sparkling silver is quite nice too.

Lots of choices, and don't forget you have to chose strips, and roof graphics, and mirror caps too

We saw a Solar Red MINI Seven in the car park today - and it just reminded us how that's the red we would have chosen above all other colours!

I also saw the Horizon Blue sample at the dealers today, and I'm really struggling to imagine how this is going to be the only metallic blue available to non-S owners in a few months time.

Excellent choice, mine is the CR/B that Ray posted up, and we're very pleased with it.
