Clubman rear door opening

Hi all,

first post so appologies if I am going over old ground. Got the new clubman yesterday, now I am sure when I looked at the car when you pressed the rear door button both doors opened, however I now find only the driver door opens when I press the button. Am i missing something????

Only the RH door opens on the button, then you open the LH one in the same way.

do you mean the other door should open on the button? As all I get is the right door then I have to do the left one manually.

That's right, you press the right-hand door button and it opens, the left-hand one remaining locked until you then press that one. After all, you don't always want both doors open, if for example you want to quickly get something out or put something in you often only want one open.

just thought both doors opened when I took it for a testdrive -- must have been confused --- not hard to acheive !

On my Clubman, the rear right hand door opens when you press the boot symbol on the key, but you then have to open the left hand door manually - is this correct? If both doors SHOULD open then I have a fault. Would appreciate confirmation...

That is correct, yours appears to work as designed. Mine works this way and the demos I tried before I bought it.
