Has anyone modded their Clubman Cooper S?

Hi,

after owning an MCS and JCW, i'm after something a bit more special from my LCI (2010) Clubman S.

I'm wondering what people have done and what their experiences are. I want to keep mine looking as stock as possible for insurance purposes.

I was thinking:
ECU chip?
Brakes (very bad IMHO on the Clubman S) - maybe pads or discs too?
New exhaust
replacement panel filter (Green or K&N?)

Any experiences are welcome!

Looks won't fool an insurance company engineer if you make a claim. EVERY variation from the standard base spec, including options as well as mods you make, should be notified to them for your own protection - or they may refuse to pay.

Declare everything - they'll try and get out of a claim if they can. Admittedly if they miss something you've told them about, they'll have the phone call so...

JCW brembos - front kit on ebay for 450 at the moment. These may bring your insurance down (heard this more than once). Also play on the fact they're OEM, but make sure you declare the lot.
