Need Help on Colour

Hello everyone,

This is my first post in this forum, I own a 06 Mini cooper S and thinking of getting a Clubman non-s very soon. I am having some hard time with the colour, thinking either full Black or hot chocolate with silver roof or black roof. Do you guys think dark colour looks better with Clubman or lighter colour?

Also is the travel package useful? Cause that roof rail looks pretty good with the car.

Colour choice is very much a personal thing, but I very much prefer the light colours, I have had a silver/black Clubman and now a chili red/black one. I think the hot chocolate looks very nice in the showroom but once out on the road and has got dirty, rather drab. All black if anything is even worse. Lighter colours look better even when the car needs a wash. But that's my view, many won't agree!

The roof rails are standard fitting now, if you are buying a new car. I don't think retro fitting is a practical proposition to older models unless you get it professionally done by a dealer and that may not be cheap!

Good luck with your Clubman! You will find it a much more practical car than the hatch, great as they are.

Saw a transporter full of Clubmans the other day and I think all but two were Pepper White .Seems to the be fashionable colour at the moment.

I've been toying with the idea of a JCW Clubby for a while... I'd either go all black with black wheels, or a much brighter colour with matching roof (Laser Blue or similar), and probably still black wheels.

I do like Hot Chocolate though, and while I don't mind the roof rails, I'd probably opt against them, go for a black roof, and then spec the JCW roof spoiler.

As above, colour is always a personal thing, but PW does seem to be very much "in vogue" lately, especially on the Clubman.

I think the roof rails are now a standard feature that you can't delete, are they not?

I know they're now a default feature, but I'm pretty sure I saw a 61-plate Cooper Clubman the other day with no rails? Unless I'm mistaken, I think you can still opt against if you don't want them?

I just picked up my Clubman last week - Hot Chocolate with the Silver roof - it was a floor model so I got a few thousand $ off the sticker price.

I liked the black also ( my last MINI was black ) but with a discount on the floor model I had to get it

my choice is chilli red with Silver roof and twin pipes (Model SD), with red leather. Good luck with your choice.

Rugby aside, I prefer all black. Hot chocolate and silver looks wrong to us.
