| Clubman water pump - Round 2
I have another water pump issue.
Back in July the water pump on my 2009 diesel Clubman was changed due to whistling noise emanating from left hand side (standing in front of the car) of the engine compartment.
Water pump appeared worn and so was swapped out (timing belt was changed at the same time). Mileage on the car was about 57,000km.
It is now October, car is at about 68,000km and the water pump is going again - same whistling noise, same area of the engine. 99.9% sure it's the water pump again.
The dealership said it would be covered under warranty for 1 year, but I'm concerned that they are missing something since a water pump shouldn't go again in such a short period of time.
Any ideas on what could cause this to fail again so soon?s |
