From MotoringFile:
"Literally days. Production ends in June and orders (USA?) need to be in within the next few days to make the deadline."

This means we all, in my eyes, have instant classics now. It is a shape that won't be forgotten and I think will become much sought after in the years to come.

Unhappy

I hope so!

I'm gutted - I've just found out today that the R55 Clubman is no more - I've had mine since March 2008 and love it. I was starting to think about replacing it with a new one then was hit by the bombshell that they are no more.

As there is no other car that seems to match up to the clubman for my needs/tastes I think I'll be keeping it for a good few years now - anyone any idea how long (or how many miles) a 1.6 Cooper diesel might stay reasonably roadworthy and any hints on what might make it last longer?

I think I'll turn into one of those eccentrics that keeps his car forever

.. thanks - but sadly I don't think it's a patch on the R55 - I've seen the pictures from Geneva it looks too big & and I don't need four doors... but you never know....

I'll certainly drive the current one into the ground - if I work on the basis that a new car would depreciate by circa 3000 per year and start the repair fund now I should keep it on the road for years!!
