Speccin JCW interior - the workings of a male mind

Ok, I am driving myself a bit mad with a decision, so thought, hey lets get a poll going

I currently have the black JCW seats in my MCSC, and I love them!!

But, the rear seat is now available to order for the convertible, although I haven't actually seen it yet.

So I thought great, order the rear seat to go in the convertible, even though someone said it was a waste as I will never sit in the back or very few people will either, so valid point, but hey, if I wanted practical decisions I'd be driving a Ford or a Golf

But now I have been thinking about it a bit more I have always loved the red insert JCW seats, and these would look so much better in my MINI than the black ones. So I thought maybe I should order the rear seat with the red inserts?

But then it won't match the front

Ok so order some new fronts too, with the red inserts, and then sell off the ones you have now to help fund it. Oh and while you are ordering these, might as well add in the heated options this time and the leg extender

So to sum up, I don't know if I should just get the idea out of my head and just clean my rear seat instead of replacing it, or if I should just get the black rear seat, or replace the lot.

Please what would you do? And do think about the money that will be spent too, as I can't think like that

Forget JCW rears - waste of money. Instead, replace the front with matching JCW seats, sell your old surplus seats to recoup some of the money. Cheap as chips. Use the spare cash left over to do another mod.

You dont need rear jcw seats mate.

I'm sure you knew the answer before you posted this up Spend the money, replace the rears and get the fronts.

I mean a convertible without heated seats just isn't right

Currently in a similar situation myself as you know, whether to get the jcw rears or not

Decided to, but then came along the unexpected - an £800 clutch replacement. So maybe not now, at least for a few months!!

I'd get the black jcw rears, I personally think they look classier in all black. Plus if you get a new MINI at some point, the blacks will fit in whatever colour it is - red won't!!

my change won't be until the new JCW/convertible comes out in 2008, and I'd expect that the seats wouldn't fit in that, but like the way you're thinking

Its worth changing the fronts for red inserts and heating. I would get the rears as well, they may not get used much, but in a convertible u get to see them with the top down and they would look great, where as in a tin top u might not notice them..

Ah Rakey,

Decisions decisions - WHAT DECISIONS!!!!

Order the red, you know you need them, it'll have to be done eventually, so ge it done early and have as long as possible to enjoy them before your change to the 2008 model.

Don't forget you may not be sitting in them, but everytime you look at the car topless you'll be thinking I wish I'd of ordered them.
