This is a common fault on around 10% of the convertibles...

MINI UK are aware of it and are trying to create a recode to rectify the problem (the regional technical manager told me!)

I have it on my 06 cooper convertible too!

Your dealer should know about it... If you tell them they will call you in for a recode once its been tested.

Thumbs up

Thank you.
I have the same problem too. They tested it 20+ times and it did not do it.
Then as I collected it they gave it one more try and it did not close all the windows.
I did laugh.
Will ask for a recode,cheers

Talking

My MINI's off to the doctors again on Thursday bcoz it's poorly...

And the Regional Technical Manager for MINI UK is looking at my car (AGAIN!) so hopefully should get a bit more of an update about the recode and when the code will have been tested...

I'll let you all know on Thursday evening!

Since my comments in the previous thread in April mine has slowly improved and hasn't done it now for a couple of months (it will now I've said that of course).

I'm wondering if the cooler weather will start to make her do it again?

Well I've got my car back from the car doctors and it's not fixed

And I thought you'd all want to know that there is still no news on the windows being resolved...

I will let you all know as soon as I hear that the recode has been sucessfully tested!

Mine still does it say 1 in 4 times... it's no biggy I'm used to checking now. I'll mention it when it goes in for first service...

Went in for a 6 month fluid check, was told no there is no recode yet. They then actually checked my computer and found out there was an upgrade of the software. So hope it will all be sorted as the sun comes back out again

My old '55 plate Cooper Cab used to do this a lot. In fact, It did it once when I was in a rush. Left it on my mates drive not realisin that the nearside rear window was down, then went out in brum 4 the nite and got back the next morning to find that it had rained so the inside was all wet, and a cat was sheltering in the front footwell!!!

Was not impressed!

HOwever I now have a '56 S cab andits not done it once.... maybe the problems been sorted now

Well I got my car back from the car docs yesterday and it has had the latest recode done for the windows which should fix the problem!
This recoded was finalised late last year i think???

The dealership tested it 25 times and said there was no problem...

But we'll see
