My friend just ordered an orange MCS Cabrio and is asking for color advice. Does anyone have one? She heard they were discontinuing the color.

Hot Orange is indeed being dropped from the MINI palette from Week 10 build onwards.

Typical really, didn't sell overly well so MINI drop it, but once they do everyone will want one again (Liquid Yellow and Black-Eye Purple being the two that come to mind that suffered the same fate)

Loved Hot Orange with the exterior and interior chrome lining. I thought it looked classy. Just tell your friend not to get the dark blue top (my rental had this and I never could figure out why anyone would order this color combo). Black will look much better.

I think Orange looks great on Mini Cabrios and would have ordered that on my MCS if it was offered. But then again I like that color on a lot of different kinds of cars, so I am kind of biased towards it.

Dang! I think the Orange and Blue top look great together! I have it. That Orange & Black combo makes me think of Halloween every time I see it.

That's actually Lambo Orange, not Hot Orange.

If I could have specced my MINI in Lamborghini Orange, I would have done without a second though. Hot Orange is nice, but it's a bit subtle. I thought the same about Cool Blue too, but I saw a CB MCSC the other day, colour coded, and actually looked amazing!

I was nearly the proud owner of a hot orange and blue top cabrio...
I thought it was a bit of a weird combo... hehe

I love the Hot orange colour, but I had a Firedance orange 206GTi and it was parked alongside a Hot orange mini in the bodyshop under fantastic lighting, and the hot orange looked so flat compared to the Pug

After resisting for about 2 years, I finally went ahead and ordered me a mini cabrio which will be ready for pickup soon. And despite me loving the Hot Orange color, I ended up getting a Cool Blue one because that seems to be the only one they had coming in the first batch of 2007's Cabrio. Still looks nice though; I just wish I had more time to research it and customize stuff as I was doing back when I first was interested in the car because I really wanted those white side mirrors! Unfortunately I was very busy with work and thus ended up getting what was available, but I still think it looks nice!

We just took delivery of our 07 Hot Orange JCW Cabrio. We were able to sneak it under the cutoff by a matter of a week or so. It was a close one but so worth it.

All that remains is for MINI to release the software for JCW and "Wally" will rock!
