Offline | Joining the club! Hi all. I doubt if anyone will remember me but I was on here nearly a year ago getting some advice about getting a MOC or MCC. Unfortunately I didn't get one as I was offered a company car, To cut a long story short I have managed to give the car back and today my search for a MINI has ended ![]() This lunchtime I put a deposit down on an 05 MCSC The spec is:Hyper Blue Chili pack Gravity black leather LSD Visability pack Heated mirrors/washerjets Electric folding mirrors Harman Kardon I've not seen it yet only a couple of small photos at the dealers. I will hopefully get to see it on friday or early next week. Needless to say but I'm really looking forward to picking it up and doing many topless miles! The only thing I'm not looking forward to is breaking the news to my classic mini I don't know how he will feel about sharing the drive ![]() |

Offline | Unfortunately there was a few issues with the car when I saw it on friday The dealer is going to try and resolve them but I'm not holding my breath. I'll keep you updated on the outcome. |

Offline | Everything is sorted now hopefully I should pick it up next fri/sat.I have put a post in the finace/insurace section but no one has replied, basically does the chilli pack make a difference to the cost on a MCSC? As insurance places don't seem to have the option to select MCSC with chilli. Thanks |

Offline | It could make a difference and some Insurers will let you specify it. I know Direct Line let me specify mine as a MCSc with Chili! If you don't get the option to include the Chli Pack then make sure you tell them of all the options it includes [and they are all factory fitted]. It may not affect your premium [I don't think it did mine] but it means they can't say you haven't declared all "modifications" if it ever came to a claim. Also, be aware that some Insurers do not cover the modified parts and you would only get standard model replacement parts... there are lot's of threads/posts about the culprits in the Finance/Insurance forum (from memory it's the Admiral Group ones). Excellent! We expect Pics! |

Offline | I picked it up friday ![]() there was a slight hitch with the roof not closing while everything was being demonstrated but after 20 mins with the technicians it was sorted. I've done about 250 miles in it now and burnt a full tank of fuel, it's certainly a thursty bugger but the smiles per gallon are certainly a lot higher than the diesel golf i had before though! Another thing is how good are xenon headlights! I'm really impressed with how much they improve visability. Basically I could go on for ages but I don't want to bore you all. I've been too busy driving to get any decent photos but here's one off of my phone |
