Offline | Pleasantly Suprised! Hi all. My car has gone to the dealers today to have some spotlights fitted (I own a ONE D) and they have given me a loan car. A nice 2,600 mile old '56' reg cabriolet. Its a Cooper version and I have to say based on the bit of driving I've done with it, its great! Had the roof down for a little while, I can see why so many of you own them, I bet its great in the summer! ![]() With mine being a diesel I was surprised at the performance of the Cooper, what a great engine! I also noticed that it seemed to pop a little on the overrun, I thought only the S's did that? I love my diesel and its very practical for a 19yr old (insurance etc) but when I'm a little older and over the '21 years old' insurance barrier I think I have been converted to petrol MINI's. Although I think I may well stick to the tin top. A few pics of it... ![]() James. ::.. 2006 MINI ONE D now with added Aero Kit ..:: --- Modern MINI Oscars Winner 2008 --- |

![]() :: 32mpg woo! :: | Nice loaner!! Although I'm not sure the blue roof goes with silver... I think it would look stunning on a hyper blue or cool blue car I'm only just beginning to be able to enjoy mine without having the heater on full blast and being topless is pretty addictive I find it is possible to get the exhaust to pop a little bit, but not as much as on an S.Heres a pic of mine taken today.. |

Offline | Car has gone back it was a blast! Really enjoyed the car. Had the roof down most of the time. ![]() I agree, the blue wasn't best suited to the silver, black would have been a better colour. It had a MFSW, great bit of kit, one of the few options the previous owner didn't tick on mine, but the cruise was a great addition. ::.. 2006 MINI ONE D now with added Aero Kit ..:: --- Modern MINI Oscars Winner 2008 --- |
