Offline | Thank you so much She's wicked!! I'm still undecided on wheels.. I was going to get R90 replica's in 18's, but have decided I now want 17's, but can't find any replica's in that size Lou Lou is in the workshop having warranty items done, and she's got her aero side skirts and bumpers to go on, but as we are being snidey with it, I dont think they'll be done this week ![]() One off Chilli Red 'ONE' Convertible MODS - |

Offline | all the R90 replicas come in 18s only.... ![]() I'm actually not a massive fan of the Aero rear bumper becuase of the 'fake mesh stickers'... so I'm happy just having the side skirts on the Minx... really gives the car a sportier look and tidies up the side profile nicely. I'll get some new photos up later this week once i've completed this weeks mods... ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Fantastic I just don't want any issues with the 18's you know? I'm going to look at some rims on Saturday I should have said, she's having Cooper S bumpers as I prefer them to the Aero ones ![]() One off Chilli Red 'ONE' Convertible MODS - |

Offline | As long as you get the right offset, you should be grand. I know mine's not a convertible, but I do have the Aerokit with 18s if that helps: (plus I've got Works suspension, with no problems at all, apart from a little catching of the front lip now and again) Last edited by MINIAC : May 17th, 2007 at 02:58 PM. Offline | Looks so nice! I'm just worried because I have standard Mini One suspension, that the 18's might cause problems Although, saying that, I have found a company who does this wheel in replica.. What do you think? I'm thinking whatever wheel I get I'll have in anthracite ![]() One off Chilli Red 'ONE' Convertible MODS - Last edited by MINIAC : May 17th, 2007 at 02:59 PM. Reason: fix quote |

Offline | It'd only affect the warranty if your dealer was being very fussy... and even then it would have to be becuase the wheels caused the problem. The roof etc won't be affected, but shock absorbers and the like might ![]() No mechanical issues though, all MINIs can run on 18" wheels, although MINI do recommend you fit a steering lock limiter to avoid the wheels rubbing. Jacked up doesn't have these though, and his don't touch at any point. ![]() |

Offline | Thanks.. I used to work at my local dealer, and so know all the techs.. I'm sure they'd help me out Just out of interest, would shock absorbers be a pricey thing? ![]() One off Chilli Red 'ONE' Convertible MODS - |

Offline | I bought mine in a MINI2 group buy so got a bit of a discount...I think they were about £350 GBP... They are very expensive from a dealer, some charge around the £500 mark. Woodmans have said they'll supply them at £400 but that will be plus postage - but you shouldn't have to pay VAT being an EEC sale. http://www.mini2.com/forum/group-buy...-aero-kit.html They come factory painted ready to fit, or you can but primered parts and have them painted yourself. ![]() They do look stunning though ![]() ![]() |
