It appears you are no longer able to spec Hot Orange or Cool Blue on the mini.co.uk configurator!

No more convertible only colours then?

Seems a shame

ive only ever seen a handfull of hot oranges anyway. cool blue has been pretty popular though although god knows mini have enough shades of blue to go around!

Hot orange is very popular in the US, I just noticed last night it wasn't on the configurator any more.

The plot thickens... having to spoken to someone within the UK dealer network, apparently Hot Orange has not been available for a couple of months now, and Cool Blue around the same.

Maybe the paint shop is focusing on the new colours for the Clubman instead?

Hot Orange was discontinued effective with March 2007 builds.

Cool Blue is still available on the MINI USA configurator.

I have seen the dealer literature, and what it actually says with reference to Cool Blue is:

"May not be available after July 2007"

Hot Orange is being replaced by Hot Chocolate... just kidding. Actually it might not be bad with the Sidewalk interior.

Something to look forward to is White Silver, a metallic bright white for the Sidewalk.

What a shame, they were the other two colours we had on our shortlist. It probably is because of new colours for the Traveller... I keep seeing more and more driven between the factory gates. Saw two yesterday lunchtime wearing their Bra's at the front/back.

I have never been a fan of either colour to be honest. I do like Black eye purple thou, it's a shame they deleted that

yeah they never really gave BEP a chance, it seemed to be off the list as fast as it was put on. its a great colour & pretty unique - i can't think of any other manufacturers offering purple. ford kind of stole mini's thunder with their proper hot orange on the Focus ST

I hate cool blue its such a girly colour. A good colour to have on a mini is Gold. They should bring this back.

i must admit i'm the same i generally don't like wishy-washy colours that are neither one thing or another. give me a nice bright primary colour every time

Sorry but It is girly. Its like a soft blue/lilac colour

Dosent get more girly than that.

I nearly bought a convertible but it was Girly Blue, ahem sorry Cool Blue so I left it. But if you like it thats all that matters

Strange! Mine is very definitley blue, but goes grey in overcast weather (a lot of that recently

) I would certainly not say it's anything towards lilac.....

Ok maybe lilac was not the best description of colour maybe but the picture of the flower i hvae attached is similar to your colour on your car. It is definately girly.

If I post a picture of a red rose that will be much closer to Chili Red than your flower is to Cool Blue, would that make Chili Red girly colour too?

I'm afraid your argument is basically unsound - the MINI is absolutely unisex. If I wanted a girly car, I'd probably be driving a Peugeot 206CC.......

Of much greater interest, surely, is what colours MINI might replace the outgoing ones with?

BTW, sun's out, my car is looking VERY blue today!
