Hey I was just wondering if any one has had a roof done for their conv. with a flag or something printed on?? I seen it on the mini mania demo car and would love to see if any one has had it done??

There was someone on the North American Motoring forums a couple of weeks ago who was advertising custom tops for the convertibles. He had pics of a sliver cabrio with a burgundy top, a blue with white stripes that matched the bonnet and boot stripes, and a blue with Union Jack. All the designs looked really nice.

Unfortunately he didn't comply with the rules of the forum concerning vendors so the thread was removed before I could save any pics.

If I remember correctly, he was in the UK. I wish I had more info to give you.

Yeh thats mini mania in the uk! i sat in the blue convert with the union jack roof and thought it look real good! ill try and find pictures! I have a red convert and was thinking of a chequered roof?? they look like good quality too!!

I just read your old thread, when I saw the UJ roof in person I thought it look good but it was very new at that point! I would love to see someone with a chequered roof done! Not many sounded to impressed in your thread??

They are quite fun aren't they. Don't like the diesel orange highlights bit the roof is quite cool. I suppose its quite expensive!

Those are the pics I saw. I LOVE that Union Jack, but it probably wouldn't look very good on Hot Orange. In the thread on NAM, he mentioned doing a tiger stripe design for Hot Orange. Sounds like it could be interesting. I'm not sure I would get one, but I would definitely like to see it.

A checkered roof on your red cabrio would look great. Would you want it to be just the top or would you like for the checks to go down the sides?

Now off to read minicabrio's thread from 2005.
