The lines I read between are the one before and the one after where it mentions that all engines will be available and an auto box available throughout the engine range. |

Offline | As Harpo says, we will never know until we start seeing more test mule convertibles on the streets. The New Cooper D does have a built in particulate filter, so there's no black dust emitted from the exhaust, and less of the 'diesel smell' - so in theory it could lend itself well to a cabrio version. BMW already manufacture diesel versions of its 3-series soft top, although the length of the car takes exhaust gasses well away from the driver ![]() |

| Waiting patiently for R57 | Sign me up! I want another Cabrio, but the miles I do with my new job lead me in the direction of a diesel car. Also, (please don't laugh) I want to tow a small trailer when we go on our camping holidays, so the extra torque would be ideal....... Ian |

| Waiting patiently for R57 | Tut tut! What about doing your bit for the environment? All this global warming should be good news for cabrio owners everywhere, so how come this summer has been practically non-existent? (But on the bright side, my roof has been down so seldom this year that the fabric wear issue is a non-issue...... )Ian |
