Offline | Convertible Dying Out On my bi-daily jog around the Oxford Eastern by-pass I am saw a new low in Convertibles on the transporters. It's been a steady decline all year. ![]() Yesterday the new PW (peronal worst) - I saw three transporters and only one Convertible (a Pepper White MCc). I see precious few Sidewalks.. probably one in the last week. I guess everyone is waiting for the R57 even though it's some way down the line yet! ![]() |

Offline | When i ordered my MCS last month the dealers told me that there is a longer delivery time on convertibles. he didn't say why. perhaps there are that many orders for the R56 that they are more concerned about getting those out early. might be why there are fewer on transporters. if i were buying a convertible i would certainly wait for the new shape. |

| MINI2 Newbie | Got my brand new Convertible two weeks ago. I had thought about waiting for the "new", Prince-Engine Convertible, but then I wanted the 210bhp JCW version, and even R56 that cannot be ordered, AFAIR. New Convertible - 2008, new 210(+)bhp Convertible 2009, couldn't wait THAT long! |

Offline | Sold my MCSC a couple of weeks ago. I'd had it for 2 years and to be honest I was pretty fed up with the blooming awful ride, bad fuel consumption but perhaps most of all I found the Mini just no longer stood out amongst all the other Mini's out there. When I got my first Mini, Chilli red MCS in 2002, everyone stared and it was THE car to be seen in and that is no longer the case - not that that is the only reason to have the Mini. Anyway, I just got fed up with every boy racer ****** out there trying to race or cut you up. Or perhaps I'm just turning into an old fart where I'd rather have a diesel 3 series touring etc. |

Offline | Personally I'd be wary about buying a new shape convertible straight away, I'd leave it a while for them to sort out any 'teething' problems ![]() I'm hoping to get a new MCSC for a 'special' birthday I have coming up in April. I'm looking forward to having one of the last of the supercharged MINIs and I'm not bothered that it's the 'old' shape ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Nothing wrong with being an old fart. However, this old fart still loves everything about her MINI ![]() Why wait Nicky??? I'm having that special birthday a couple of months after you but couldn't be tied to the calendar so bought my special birthday gift for myself a few months ago. Now I feel even more special ![]() |

Offline | I think if the right second hand one came along I might be able to have it earlier ![]() I drove one yesterday, the dealers let me have it for the day and I absolutely loved it, the extra power and the noise was fantastic ![]() ![]() |

Splashing out on HK audio was a real waste! ![]() Be interesting to see what the new R57 MCSc sound is like, or the lack of it! ![]() |

Offline | I wasn't even looking for a car when I bought this last one. I had taken in the S for scheduled maintenance and while I was waiting, decided to have a look at the used cars. As soon as I saw this gorgeous blue JCW convertible, I knew. I'm hoping you have the same experience, Nicky. |
