What does everyone think? This photo is fresh from this weeks Autocar in the UK.

I wonder if i they have a Waiting List yet?

I love Convertables, Having owned a Dutton Phaeton S2 for 10 years & a Langridge Navajo {Austin 1300 based} for 5,
but PLEASE... why bring out a Rag-Top these Days when makers like Peugeot have shown how it should be done with the likes of the 206cc, {a car I would have bought had it not been for the MINI`s announcement}.
Why no pictures of Either the MINI Convertable or the Ford StreetKa with their roofs Up .... Because they look *****e.??

Just a thought!

What a mess!! That hood folded down at the back is so 1980's, as Restyle says things have moved on.

The SteetKa looks pretty good with the roof up actually.

Which makes a nice change.

Where was the picture taken??? It looks like Australia with the light, and all those gum trees. Hot weather testing perhaps???

BTW, I'm not sure about a MINI convertable

Would have liked to have seen them do something a bit different... just looks like they lopped the roof off, and used a convertible roof they found on another car... wonder what it looks like with the roof up ?.... how about a new mini traveller in S format... nice !!

Should be a two seater.
Should have a hard top like the 206CC
Or at least somewhere to put the hood like the StreetKa.
I think they could do alot better than that.
