The rest of the article is layman fluff to those of us who have been religiously checking every forum and web page daily for months. The current Canadian Web Site lists the base MSRP for the Cooper at $25,200 Canadian. I am 20th in line at my dealer having had a deposit on an Open for months now and have been freaking out about how much more expensive it will be. This gives me some hope that MINI is not pricing itself out of legitimacy with their new convertible. At current exchange rates, this works out to around $2800. So potentially, I can get my stripped MCOS for around $24,000. I think I'll take out my home equity loan now with rates at their lowest since the 50's and just bank it until next June. I AM CHOMPING AT THE BIT! AHHHHH!
