Offline | My Mini Cooper S Convertible is scheduled to be completed August 10th! It already has the VIN assigned and listed as scheduled for production on the Mini owners site. I'm pretty excited ... it sounds like it should be one of the first to roll into the USA! |

Offline | I only decided to buy a mini cooper S convertible last sunday. Yesterday i went to my local dealership (who shall remain nameless at their request!) and have ordered a fully loaded hyper blue S convertible which will be delivered mid september THIS YEAR!!!! How jammy am I? The waiting list at this dealership is currently at May 2005, but someone had dropped out!!!!! Nuff said! |

Offline | Been on the list for a looong time! Um...hello?...Um...Hi..my name is Peter and I own Little British Cars. This is my first post...I've been a fan of Mini2 since they came out but was waiting for a convertible edition. When it went from rumor to reality I called our good friend Vince Quick at Ralph Schomp - our local dealer - and put myself on a list that --well--didn't even really exist at the time. They had a few calls before me and shortly after formalized a list. I'm 7th on the list in Denver Colorado. They called last Monday to advise that they had a static demo car available...so we could come down to see it and if we wanted to remain on the list they were taking cash deposits. Their list was 140 deep to start with - they expect 12 per month. So we went in...and we fell in love. We'll be ordering a Cooper S version later this month once they have things sorted out. Their first allocation will not be special order - they want the system to settle down first. They'll place custom orders for the delivery starting the next month so ours will probably be here end of October or early November .That's fine with us as the talk of top wear and other new production foibles have me a bit concerned and glad to take a car built after things are a bit more well sorted! So now we're waiting for the Convertible Build Site to be up at MiniUSA so we can begin to play with that...the possibilities are a bit overwhelming but we'll figure it out! Any input is welcome! I guess I'll close by saying that my existing lot of LBC's includes 2 Reliant 3 wheelers, a 3/30 and a Rialto Estate as well as a Morris MInor 1000. The Mini you see in my Avatar is a bone stock and original 72 850. The people at Schomp were so taken with it at our recent Micro Car show at the dealership that they bought it from me to use as a display in the Mini Store. I'm rather proud of that....it was a beautiful little car and I'll be glad to visit it. It's nice to know that many others will gain an appreciation for the heritage of our cars by it's being there for all Mini2 customers to see! They have a fantastic original Honda 600 in their Honda showroom and that has been very well received. Regards and thanks in advance for the help and support I predict will come forth from this group as we wait for what I hope will be the best car we've ever owned! |

Offline | My MCSC is supposed to to be unloaded from the ship tomorrow (Sat 21st) and arrive at the VDC in Charleston on Tuesday - it should be here in Dallas, TX on about Sept 1st or so. From what I could see of the tracking data - there were only nine MCSC's and nine MCC's on the first shipload arriving in the USA...so *briefly*, US convertible owners will have the rarest production car in America! (I think there are more than nine Ferrari Enzos - right?) :-) Hooter: Hot, Orange - Guys just want to see her with her top down. |

| MINI2 Newbie | Unwanted Mini Convertible I got my mini convertible at the end of July, but my circumstances have changed and I am desperate for a bigger car - I am not sure of the best way to sell. I am not in an immediate rush to sell, but I am keen to get a good price (aren't we all). I found the dealer very difficult to deal with and I am reluctant to go back to them................. all ideas gratefully received. |

Offline | Pink Well take your pick. Put it on Ebay, put it in Autocar (good ABC1 readership) or sell through Autotrader. Whatever the case you should get over list price for it unless you have damaged it in any way. I have seen anything from £400 to £2000 over list seen. Whats the spec? mra |

| Hello Everyone, welcome to my first post I ordered my MCSC on the launch day, the second the dealer sold that day for a March 05 delivery. When I spoke to a member of staff at the dealership a couple of weeks back to check on the date I was informed that It wouldn't now be delivered until after June as their allocation of cars would up to June would only cover their pre orders Time for a long wait! |

Offline | what you need to do is put a deposit down, then a few weeks later cancel. Then they will be in the list when someone cancels ![]() Hyper Blue/Blue MCSC with Chilli 'No man will make a great leader who wants to do it all himself' A. Carnegie |

| Livin' the country life | Cabrios in Sydney...Finally!! That's right off to the Sydney Motor show to see for the first time in the metal, the MINI Cooper S cabrio!! I ordered mine in May this year and it looks as if I won't get my hands on it until March '05. The waiting is killing me. I know that when I actually get to play with one it will only make the waiting harder as up until now the MCSC has only been images (thanks MINI2ers!!). Oh well. |

| MINI2 Newbie | Waiting... I ordered my Cool Blue MCS convertible 8 weeks ago -- I only have one more week to go! Thank goodness, I don't think I could take waiting any longer! MeInAMini, I can't believe it's taking you 10 months to get your MINI. They must be trying to flood the U.S. market with convertibles right now -- They didn't start selling the convertibles here until September 1, 2004.Last edited by TJKonarski : Oct 8th, 2004 at 04:13 AM. |
