| MINI2 Regular | It's possible t ohave a poll but you didnt put one up when you started the thread so... I like the new convertible from all the pics I've seen and am hoping that I'll be at the dealer one day with Andre and see a convertible model. By the way, when do they start building it? http://www.mini2.com/gallery/persona...CS/sig3txt.jpg The second 2004 MINI with a stress cracked windshield, missed #1 by a few days! (I refer to my MINI as he/him/Andre in my posts) |

Offline | I think it will look great with the roof down but I'm never a fan of soft tops with the roof up. A roadster with a roof like the Peugeot 206CC would be fantastic. I'd definately be interested in one like that. Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | I actually bought my Cooper with the intention of just fulfilling my MINI craving until the convertible came out. However, after nearly 11 mos. with it, I like the coupe so much with the sunroof that I may not make the change. I also thought I would order the convertible in the S version. Again 11mos. with this car, I haven't really felt a need for the S. I enjoy 115 horses to their maximum, but, I don't think I would be any happier with an S. Yes, it would be nice but, I don't know of any S's that will deliver 40+ MPG on the way home from autoxing. And I am having as much fun as I could have autoxing this one, so, I am re-evaluating my plans for an S convertible at this time. Unless, I can convince the wife to take my Cooper and give up her daily transportation. Creating space in the garage for something else. But, I am quite happy with my Cooper 2dr. coupe w/sunroof for today. Scott Simms 1999 BMW 528i, 1997 BMW 318i 2003 MINI Cooper (currently 126200 miles) |

| Amiga 500 to PS3 20 Years | Was unsure after some of the pram like mock up pics but now I definitely like it with roof up or down! Good job BMW. In fact the only thing I'd change is make the rear hinges a lot smaller on the tail gate. the size of the original MINI would be good. ![]() It was acceptable in the 80's |

| 1151bhp/tonne | Having seen some of the spy shots of prototypes. I was not too sure about it, despite having one on order. Paul's shots of the S in London and the official pictures I have seen today have changed my mind completely. I think it is a stunning car and more importantly Sandra will love it ![]() ![]() Black to the future.... |

| cook pass babtridge | overall i like it, but i doubt i'll buy one for the following reasons: 1. I'm unconvinced as to how it will drive with the roof chopped off. 2. the price premium 3. it will become a fashion victim with all the 'luvvies' & 'it girls' buying it 4. open top motoring & the UK climate do not mix |
