Offline | 14.5k is less than we paid for our fully loaded 206CC. Shame they went for 4 seats though. I guess this is to differentiate it from models with unusable rear seats. Still, would have preferred the boot space. We actually cram a lot more in to the 206 boot than the MINI's, albeit with the roof up, which ironically makes it more practical for long weekends and shopping. For a City car, I would never buy a fabric roof cabrio, even if it's cheaper than the metal roof counterparts. I've seen too many that have been knifed. |

Offline | So Auto express got the price about right last year, £17,500 for a decent spec cooper, do you think its good value? (forgetting the good sell on price) TOP OFF AT LAST. (Everybody be cool, you, be cool.) |

Offline | Hopefully you are wrong there Paul as it would be a shame for alot of people to go elsewhere for a convertible because of an outragous charge like that. £18,000 is crazy talk considering the hard top is 14,500. |

Offline | price expectations Big question for me though is what is included in that £2500. We know about the parking sensors. I guess a full enclosure alarm will have to be standard and included in the £2500 as well. What else though - for £2500 lets hope the new alloys are standard and maybe even leather interior. Of course good marketing people (and mini have these) will always set a customer expectation that they know they can beat. Saying its £2500, then delivering at £2300 makes more people think its a bargain than setting an expectation at say £2000 then charging £2200 - even though it's £100 more! Also they want to put prices in the market to gauge reaction - after all it's a business decision and they will want to price as high as reasonable whilst still being assured of meeting sales forecasts and protecting the mini brand. So I predict that £2300. HO/Black MCC Born 29th June 2004 - first in the north east! Blue Mini City E - "ratpack" - born 1984 bit scruffy, bit rusty, bit smelly but huge fun. |

Offline | official Belgian prices The official price in Belgium is: Mini One Convertible: € 18.950 Mini Cooper Convertible: € 21.400 The car comes standard with an electrical hood and PDC. Please note that the Belgian Mini's are more expensive than the British. This is caused by the fact that the Belgian Mini's have more standard equipment. |

Offline | Whats the base price of the 3 door in Belgium. Therefore what is the difference in euros and are there any spec difference between 3 door and Conv? Offline | I think there is more chance of me winning the lottery for 10 consecutive weeks than BMW fitting leather as standard in a MINI so I wouldn't hold your breath. I can't see BMW offering many extras for the convertable and really they don't need to. Alot of people will buy it coz its the new MINI regardless of the price (within reason). Just like when the MINI first came out people paid more for second hand ones than new ones coz everyone has gone MINI mad and weren't prepared to wait. Until the MINI madness settles down a bit I wouldn't expect to see what I would consider a well specced MINI as standard. |
