Japan

They are the only accurate pictures that I have seen that show the roof down. You can also clearly see the fixed roll-over hoops.

Are the hinges on the boot really going to look like that?

i dont like it, the arial looks strange, im sure they will sell but it looks kind of odd, its the same as what they did with the beetle but a least the funky dials etc will look the part. im sure it must be heavier too,

Is this a BMW test vehicle, prototype, advance, etc? Sanctioned by BMW/MINI?

Looks more like a California mod of a stateside MINI.

First, the obvious: California plates, looking like true everyday issue.
Second: Marker lights in the wheel arches. Are these not also an export item at this time? Would the protos be outfitted withthese from the start? My understanding is the first allotments are staying in England.

Ohter oddities:

Looks to be an S model, but has a non-S gas (petrol) cover and the orange marker light (nearest the outside mirrors).

Hmmmmmmmmmmm..........whadya think?

Those are not everyday plates in CA. Near as I can tell, they're a manufacturer's plate. FYI--whoever is driving that car is in violation of CA Motor Vehicle code, which requires a front plate and a rear plate.

To me, it looks like a right dogs dinner. (Thats a complete mess). Most cabriolets look good with the roof down, bad with the roof up. This just looks bad, either way.... Seen on on the motorway a few weeks ago. Didn't think it looked any better in real life...
