Offline | Video of roof open/close action... Almost! www.mini2.com/video/convertible_mini2.wmv About 1.2 megs. Due to the problems I had with my camera, that's all I've got to offer on the video front. It starts from just a couple of seconds into opening, you see the roof come up and over into the "sunroof" fully open position... then the sunroof closes and all windows close. You can then see it slide back into the "sunroof" position, then from that the next step opens down the windows, and then the roof opens. You can see how the rear glass folds down and how the unit works. Sorry there's not more and at better quality, I'm going to try and see if I can get anything better soon. Offline | Very cool! Roof looks better than the pictures of the blue tent from Geneva. Less baggy. The sun-roof thing is great! Nice vid Sir ![]() WhatCar? Claim: “As hot hatches go, it’s hotter than a blacksmith’s armpit.” |

Offline | Hey Paul......that roof looks HAZARDOUS Paul, thanks for the video. It looks to me that the hinges/roof support action while opening or closing acts like a nest of scissors. Slice and dice inadvertant hair, fingers, loose clothing. Seems dangerous. How was the action in person? Maybe this will be rectified....maybe I am overzealous. Later, Kristoffer |

Offline | Just read your post above mine.... Wow! So it does have scissor like potential. This is insance. How is this possible? I know older sunroofs naturally have this problem. I recently experienced the new 9-3 Saab and a 3 series covertible. Both of those roofs have protective fabric shielding the axis points. Why can' t our Mini? |

Offline | There's a good video of it on www.caranddriver.com from the NY Auto Show. I'm still undecided about how it looks with the top up but the sunroof feature is sweet. |
