I need info fast!

Can anyone confirm any solid information regarding colours for the new Cabrio?

I have an appointment at my dealers on Monday morning to spec my new Cooper Cabrio. I fancy a metallic blue but the wife's not keen on Cool Blue, so as I thought Cool Blue was the only blue, I intended to order black/black roof.

But the info on the US MINI site mentions Hyper Blue, Purple Haze and Astro Black!! All colours I've never heard of before!! Is this a mistake? Are they US only colours? Has anyone seen these colours? Will I be able to choose these colours?

Help!

Hyper Blue is S only we believe, Purple Haze is probably Blackeye Purple, and the Black may be a Cosmos Black replacement...............

Does anyone know anything about official dates for release of the new colours. Will we know about what they are before they appear? Hope so

Spoke to dealer today while speccin' my new Cooper Cabrio. Hyper Blue, Purple Haze and Astral Black definately NOT available at present (he'd never even heard of them). Cool Blue and Hot Orange are the only new colours availalbe to order.

It's good how dealers have 'never' heard of certain things. Like any fault you complain about is the first time they ahve ever come across it, yeah right

However, I doubt they get told much about new colours and specs until they have been confirmed. The changes should hopefully be confirmed by late june / early july.

When I spoke to my dealer they said they were expecting some info around june/july time. The only way they know about it in advance is through MINI2.com

You can get Indi Blue metallic on the convertible / cabrio in the UK. Or at least it is on the system as available, so I guess that is as good as it gets at the moment

Hyper blue will be replacing Indi blue as will be seen across all models.

Purple haze is black-eyed purple and also will be across all models.

Cool blue and Hot orange are convertible only colors.

These colors were confirmed to me (on tape) at the NY international autoshow.

no blackeye purples, purples hazes & no pepper white

That's disappointing if they are the final colur spec

I have been told by a few 'trusted' people that Blackeyed purple will be available to order late summer on all models. I don't know if that means cabrios as well?
I am waiting to see what colours turn up

It's between BEP and EB at the moment. But seen as though neither have been confirmed to be available on the cooper model I will just have to wait

Hyper Blue will be a NEW colour, not a replacement. It will be available ONLY on MINI Cooper S.

Indi Blue is being deleted, and Electric Blue will be available across the range (Probably due to popular demand!)

Cosmos Black is being replaced with Astro Black
