Well after a lot of debating and Umming and Rrr'ing whether to have another Cooper S or go for the Cooper Cabrio..we or should I say Anne decided that we want the Cabrio so we specced her up on Saturday,but we have 5 days before its final and cannot be changed.

Cooper Cabrio.
Cool Blue.
Blue Roof.
Chilli Pack.
Black cloth/Leather.
Sports seats.
Manual Aircon.
Heated Seats.
Mfsw.
Chrome line interior.
Cd boost.
Asc+t.
Wind deflector.
Stripes..White
Spots.
Heated washer jets and mirrors.
Tlc.

Were also considering electric folding mirrors and the visibility pack and maybe the xenons if I can talk Anne into having them.

Dealer is estimating delivery around the 2nd week of July.

Congratulations ...thats exactly my Spec ecxept that i wouldn´t order the Radio Boost CD. For that Price you get a much better Aftermarket Radio that let the MINI Standart Speakers sound much better. My recommendation is the Pioneer DEH-P77MP > looks very Retro and Sounds very Good and you can RemoteControl it via the MFSW (think so...?!?!) or if you want a Satnav without loosing the Center Speedo an ALPINE INA-N333R DVD Nav (that´s what i´m going to buy).

I´ll take the Electric Powerfold Mirrors as it will be expensive to Retrofit them but i wouldn´t buy the Visibility Pack as you can see all the little heating Cables in the WIndscreen and the Windscreen tends to Crack. The Xenons look to Oversytled for my Taste and are too Expensive for too Less Effect i think but i would recommend the Chrome Mirror Caps and Chrome Boot Hinges > looked very Good in Person on the AMI Leipzig. Dinger i recommend u get a wind deflector apparently in reports it makes a BIG difference i have them on my spec but other than that a good spec i am thinking of changing colour to blackeye purple saw colour today on convertible in bmw factory and it looks stunning can you remember amaranth purple on classic mini looks similar but darker

AGREED!
I'd never buy a cabrio without a wind deflector. Had one on my 3 series convertible and the difference was amazing. You really get buffeted without it

Thats what I heard as well about the "wind deflector" as for BEP you did'nt by any chance take a pic of what you saw.

Thats a shame .......but gets me thinking ...I wonder if MINI {bearing in mind that the dealers should of had this colour on display by now} would allow goonery to take a pic of BEP and thats of course if goonery does'nt mind.

hi again dinger might difficulty is deciding on cool blue or bep or hyper blue without seeing other colours i am having sleepless nights but guess what motorshow on next week and i have booked to go on sat 29th they must have bep and hyper blue to show there got to be crooss my fingers are u thinking same has me.....

I phone the dealer today to add the Electric mirrors and the visibility pack and I also enquired about BEP and got some disappointing news we cannot have the electric mirrors as this option wont be available until after build week 30 he then told me that NO one has ordered BEP now that could mean one of two things..... either the colour is not what we're expecting or no one is brave enough to order it with out seeing it first.

The other thing he told me was that it seems that MINI are on holding back slightly on getting the customers cabrios delivered to the showrooms.

Snap,but our choices were...Chilli Red,BEP,Cool Blue,we knocked off Chilli Red as you have to have the black roof then went Bep and came back went again so Cool Blue it was then you can guess what happened Bep came into the frame again and after listening to our dealer has made us stick with Cool Blue with the Blue roof for now mmmmmmmmm.

we had 5 days to decide on spec as of Friday 14/5 before we could spec no longer so I think we have 24 more hours to decide for sure.

thanks for info dinger that was great when is week 30 cos i want folding mirrors too is it in august sept .......and will there be more options for convertible that we will miss out on ......bep not sure now hope it will be at motorshow if it looks to dark outside definately wont go for it i still love cool blue now i have seen it in flesh from factory tour and know this will be a popular colour has my dealer has told me today aswell has seeing more of this colour on convertibles at factory tour
