I saw my new MINI ONE Conv on Saturday (don't collect until next Sat tho!) and it appeared to have the same 2 spoke steering wheel as on my current hardtop one. Photos of the Cooper seem to show a different 3 spoke wheel. Is this correct? For some reason, I thought that all Convertibles came with the new one...

Hi,It comes as standard if you've specced the chilli pack.

The two spoke "Cooper S Steering Wheel" as it's called, is an option on the MINI One, the press car I had had this fitted.

Standard 2 spoke steering wheel comes as standard.
Cooper S 2 spoke steering wheel is a £120 option.
Three spoke leather steering wheel is a £180 option unless you've specced the chilli pack option and then its free.

What about the non-leater/non MF three spoke?

I'm completely lost now as to what's what with steering wheels!!

Three spoke sports leather steering wheel : £180
MINI Cooper S Sports Leather Steering Wheel: £120 (that is the leather two spoke steering wheel)
Multi-function for any leather steering wheel : £160
Wooden sports steering wheel : £240 (again that is two-spoke)

The cooper comes with the standard plastic two-spoke steering wheel. The pepper pack upgrades the steering wheel to a leather two-spoke steering wheel (i.e. the MINI Cooper S wheel) and the chili pack upgrades it to the leather 3-spoke steering wheel.

The Cooper S comes with the MINI Cooper S Sports Leather Steering Wheel as standard and the Chili pack upgrades it to the Three Spoke Sports Leather Steering Wheel.

That is confusing!! But I hope that sorts it out for you.

You can't have a non leather Three Spoke Steering wheel.

That is standard on the Cooper S & Cooper S Cabrio, so yes you would be getting it. I should open an ask me section!!

Is it true the U.S. 2005 model MINIs come standard with the 2-spoke wheel? Somebody told me the other day the 3-spoke wheel is going to be standard on all cars on this side of the pond, but I didn't think this was the case
