Talking Cooper S Cabrio Available Now in the UK

This is gods honest trueth.

Have just spoken to my dealer near Birmingham, dont want to be to specific as you will all be ringing him, he has just told me they have a customers MCSC awaiting delivery and sat in their compound.

I asked when they would release it and they said early next week.

All this talk about september launch is starting to look like rubbish, those of us who have cars due at the end of this month and the middle of the next should start smiling. My car has gone into build and is now due at the dealer 2 days earlier than what was first estimated, the 28th July.

So bring on the sun..

Yet again my mini dealer tells me today that "the Mini Area Manager stated yesterday that the cars won't be released until Spetember".

This is getting very frustrating

Cheers, Peter

I know what you mean. Thing is area manager would be saying exactly what MINI are saying, which it sounds liek he is. The thing is I really dont think they will do a big launch after so recently doing one for the cooper, does not make sense. So I dont think there will be a launch date at all.

Dealers are not going to hold cars in compound indefinatley as that costs them money, they want it gone and paid for.

Do you have a car on order mjg315q, if so what is the estimated del date on your order.

Hope you sort it..

Hi Bad Man

I have the first MCSC order from my local dealer (see profile for spec) this was originally quoted for delivery late July. According to the MINI order system (last week) it is due to go into build week commencing the 17th of July.
I currently have two thoughts, either the dealer has "bumped" my order (but I doubt this if the computer says it's being built next week) or it's simply bad communication on behalf of Mini.

The dealer bought my Merc two weeks ago (and still has the money), so I'm a bit frustrated that the delivery may be held back til September.

Cheers, Peter

it will be bad comms i bet you. I have been a BMW for years and I am constsntly going into dealerships with more product knowledge than the dealer. Its not the dealers fault, its BMW, it all ways happens.

Let be optimistic, I think you will get your car first week in August, like me. If not you can come down to Oxford with me and we'll take us a pair!!! !

Looks like I'll get my August delivery after all! I didn't think MINI were going to have a big launch because if you look on mini.co.uk the Cooper S Convertible details are already available. It's a relief as I'm part exing my MCS for it and the price was based on August delivery plus my HP settlement on the car was based on August also. I'm not bothered either about 54 plates as I have a private registration. I couldn't give a monkeys about the date it's registered (residual values etc.) I JUST WANT THE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!
