Offline | Cooper Convertible 500 Mile Report... Hi all, My car is now a full five days old, and has just reached the 500 mile mark.... I took it down to Bristol at the weekend on the MINI Severns run, which put quite a few miles on her!! Anwyay, no problems at all with the Cooper. Well, I had a minor issue that the drivers seat belt was twisted, but was sorted in 5 minutes by my dealer... The roof performs excellently, and does not rattle or leak!! I am very surpirsed at how quiet it is at motorway speeds with the roof up. This is my first convertible, and I am really impressed. The engine sounds wonderful, and everything is beginning to loosen up... To be honest, I am no good a writing this kind of thing, you will just have to trust me, its brilliant!! Any questions just ask... Jon P.S. More photos for you all.... More in my gallery..... ![]() |

Offline | Grings, Yeah that could be me, I often cut round past the park when i come off the A331.... I keep seeing Rob out and about aswell, but as yet have never got that close to him!! Mind you, that B&Q roundabout can be a pain, its all those women shoppers coming out of ASDA and the nutter van drivers from Invincible Road!! lol Might see you out and about!! Cook1e........... Do you fancy convoying down to the run together on Sunday, or are you going down the day before? ![]() |

Offline | I'll keep my eyes open for it when I am 'burning' down the A325 (at 30mph, I'm not that stupid). I live about 50 yards from the fancy pedestrial entrance to the park (the one with the big gates by the kiddies play area), so sadly all of the speeding traffic that once adorned the A325, that moved onto Avenue road before the speed bumps (mountains!) now drives up waverely/manor road past my house I would love a speed camera where I live!!! Then I can stand in my garden waving a warning sign ![]() |

Offline | The cookie family are going down on Sunday morning so a convoy is on the cards! I reckon it's about a 1 hour drive down to Chichester so I had reckoned on leaving around 8:30. This should give plenty of time for finding the start point and mooching around and drooling over the cars with the other MINI2ers before the start of the run. The route I'd intended to take is down through Farnham then take the A325 linking up with the A3 near Liss then pick up the A27 near Havant. I suggest that we could meet up with you in Tesco's car park at Aldershot at around 8:30? Would want to avoid Farnborough itself on Sunday moring as the airshow might make traffic a bit sticky. Only potential spanner in the works is if the kids cause any delays in my departure from home, 1 year olds are unpredictable and 3 year olds prone to tantrums! Probably best if you PM me a mobile number in case of any delays. ![]() Cook1e http://cars.cookiehome.co.uk/ ![]() 2,000 Miles Round Britain in 48 Hoours in a 37 year old Classic car, Please Sponsor me:- http://www.rbrr.cookiehome.co.uk |
