Today I've been rather shocked by the variation each dealer has on their waiting lists.

I'm in the throws of ordering a Cooper S Convertible, and was originally in a list at a dealer close to home and found myself reserving a place in an 8month queue.

I decided to phone around other dealers in the area (East Anglia) and have managed to secure a MCSC for delivery at the beginning of Nov (5months earlier than I was expecting!).

I also found a dealer with a slot in October (Norwich), and another with two in December (Colchester).

Didn't take the October slot, as the dealer wants 10% deposit, and I needed a little more than two months to sort the money situation.

I was also given estimated delivery dates of July next year, by one of the 8 or so dealers I phoned.

Good investment of my time I think!
