I was also lucky enough to pick up my Mini Cooper S Convertible today from Scothalls in Southampton.

I only had to wait 10 weeks for it because I dropped in the day after an order was cancelled and was able to still spec it.

Its Dark Silver with black bonnet stripes and hood.

17" Bullet Alloys and full black leather.

The only pic I have so far is one I took quickly with my Mobile to send to friends, will post more if anyone is interested?

Drives brilliantly, sticks to the road like glue... just need to hold onto my license now!!

PS: Got waved at by a nice girl in an old type blue mini with white bonnet stripes, which was nice - never happened when I drove any other car!

Hope all is well with yours - I've found a few scratches on mine after the pickup (car had a lot of condensation on it this morning when I collected it) - but hopefully a quick trip to Scotthalls will sort them.

I was very impressed and pleased with Scotthalls, I had downloaded the checklist from another thread in this Forum and they were more than happy to go through that with me before I signed the release.

I have found a hairline scratch on one of the rear wheel arches but I suspect they are prone to this when people rub past them anyway - dont think I will be jumping up and down about it.

I will definately check out South Coast Mini club was actually wondering if one existed - its good to meet up and chat to like minded people!!

I will post more pics asap though I am very busy driving it at the mo

Nice car, didn't know they were doing it in DS.... picture terrible by the way!!!!

Theres a big South Coast run tomorrow, probably the last big on of the year in the area.... will be well worth showing your car off.... theres a thread somewhere, do a search on 'SCNM'....

Thought I would post some better pics so here they are.

Have racked up 400 miles now and have to say the car is awesome.

The build quality is very high and does not rattle anything like what I have read about in other threads - occaisional window rattle but thats not suprising with pillarless cars.

The exhaust sounds brilliant though it did backfire quite loudly coming off about 5k which scared the $%*& out of me - thought I'd blown something, no warning lights so I guessed everything was ok.

The leather interior is gorgeous, very high quality soft leather and the fact that its more of a graphite colour than jet black makes it look perfect with Dark Silver and anthracite.

All in all I was a little wary about buying a brand new car but have to say its worth every penny and I would recommend a MCSC to anyone.
