Offline | Chili Red MCSC picked up this weekend! We picked up our Chili Red MCSC on Saturday and have now driven 250 miles, half with roof up and half with roof down. Observations so far: We were anxious about our MCSC being delivered due to all the posts about defects, rattles and roof wear. I can only say it was ill founded as the car was delivered to us in absolutely perfect condition (thank you Fairfield Mini, Southend). The car has no rattles, squeaks or bangs (other than the exhaust - see below). Maybe we were lucky but you have to bear in mind that our Mini's are mass produced and that problems may occur. But as our dealer pointed out, they will do their utmost to sort any problems that arise. The wind deflector, although pricey, is brilliant. There is virtually no draft inside the car even on days where there is very strong winds outside the car, as there was today. The engine feels livelier, and the gearbox slicker. With the roof up the wind noise is minimal. The exhaust note is fantastic with the added bonus that it pops on gearchanges and the overrun. I'd have paid extra to have that as an option!!!! We thought we were being brave going for the colour dash and red trim on the seats, with chrome line interior, but now having seen the car 'in the metal' it looks absolutely fantastic - a funky look for a funky car. If you are thinking about it our advise is go for it!!! The red trim on the seats actually brightens the interior of the car in the rear. More observations to follow........ ![]() Chili Red MCSC |

Offline | Looks great - you clearly have great taste hahaha (we have almost the same car as I think we have discussed) I love the Bullet weels in white - very nice. And the dash is great isnt it? I think the chrome and red with the matching seats really sets it all off Well done. # mra |

Offline | Got me one too! (chili red convertible) I went to test drive a mini for the first time Saturday (Sept. 25)...never even rode in one before. The one I tested was a chili red convertible. I fell in love instantly...then they said it was available for purchase and I could take it have that day! Wow, I had expected to have to place an order and wait for 2-3 months. Over 600 miles later and I just can't get enough! Cool car! |

Offline | Car looks fantastic...I think the red interior looks great. I have borrowed a MCS demo from my local dealer a couple of times (whilst waiting for mine to be delivered) with the blue interior, must say the red looks much better...just keep the seat belts and watch straps away from and try not to get into the car in tight spaces and scruff the door pockets...as I have done on my Cooper!! Have lots of fun...you'll certainly be noticed! Regards Christopher |

Offline | I really like that colour scheme, both inside and out. There is only one thing missing; get on ebay and order up some chrome for the door latch/tweeter and door speaker surrounds. If money is no object, do the same for the two uprights next to the radio as well. (Go on ebay and enter "BMW mini chrome" on the search function). Thanks for posting the photos. Tigger. ![]() I'm back!! AND I'm not going to be intimidated! ![]() For sunshine, fun and Cornish Pasties: New MINI Kernow Cornish Oggy Run 2009! |

Offline | Fantastic car! Nice to hear a satisfied customer amid all the "doom & gloom" thrown about on the forums regarding build quality. Now having said that, I've jinxed myself and my car will arrive a lemon. Mine (just finished production) will look similar but with black stripes & silver wheels. I did the red interior with chrome as well. I agree, the combination is unforgettably great! No way you can climb into that car and not smile. Consider yourself lucky. Here in the U.S. we can't get the red cloth combo seats in the MCSC (only orange/blue...what's up with that???). I was stuck with space gray for cloth (didn't want sticky leatherette or leather in a cabrio.). Bummer for me. I'd have been happier even with plain black cloth. Somebody at MINI having fun "sticking it to the Yanks" again. ![]() |

| Speedster | Made me a Believer too! Wow that’s all I can say I really love that combination! I had a MCC ordered for April (my birthday) and after having to finalise the spec last weekend I had a mid-order lifetime crisis when I realised after over spec'ing the Cooper (Aero Kit etc) that for pretty much the exactly same amount of money I could have brought a MCSC which I would be crazy not too! So I've changed my spec from BEP+Vipers+Aero to Chili Red+Black Stripes+Matching Interior & Seats. I'm now twice as excited than before! That’s the problem with having such a long wait time you keep on talking something else into your spec! I've had to finalise now because I kept on spotting things like LSD which I have no idea what it does and adding it! I know I sound totally crazy! Anyhows love the car! Its achieved exactly what the essence of mini! Which is pure fun! |
