chrono pack ....why ?

hello all

cant find if this point has been raised before so here goes.

i ordered the chrono pack because i like how the rev counter and speedo sit next to each other above the steering wheel.

but i am unable to understand why the bmw designers did not leave the large speedo in the centre ( very mini ) and let the chrono pack be a small circle, same size as the rev counter placed next to it oin top of the steering wheel, i think it would of looked much better ?

does anybody know why this was not done ?

p.s my new mcc in silver arrives on Friday.....sooo excited will post pics !

A lot of people have used the chrono pack purely as a cheaper way (instead of getting the satnav) of getting the speedo in front of them.

Possibly because they are using parts/technology that already exist therefore keeping development costs down.
