Offline | I gotta agree with Ottawa Guy ... the freaking thing looks ugly with the top down. What is the point of a convertible on this car ... isn't the dual panoramic sunroof enough Can they just send they designers to the factory instead and fill the orders ... I do want to be driving the MINI "this" summer ![]() |

| MINI2 Crash Test Driver | That really looks bad. They should make a hard top model, or the soft top should disappear into the boot when down, that would be really cool. *** bootspace. A dissapearing soft top with a hard top option would be the dogs. Even if it means scrapping the rear seats. Spanky2k Officially the worst MINI driver in the Universe!!! |

Offline | That picture is from MiniMania, it is apparently computer generated. But who cares, I WANT ONE!!! No word yet about the REAL version According to one post that quoted Paul_M when he was at the factory a while ago he was told that a prototype with a roof similar to the CLK was in existance, we can only hope ![]() update: the quote from Paul is in this news article towards the botom above the 2 velvet red pictures. Offline | I agree. The back seats are just there for insurance purposes anyway. Lose the back seats, put in a folding metal roof. I want a real glass window, too. I used to have a convertible with a plastic window - for various reasons I went through three of the tops in four years. But I loved the open-air feeling, so it was worth it at the time.
