Offline | Was there a change in Aug 04 that would make a difference? I was under the impression that Mini had not developed a cure for the wearing roof issue. Curious since mine is built and waiting to be shipped across the pond. |

Offline | Other roof problems My other problems with the roof are : The string tensioners for the headline keeps getting caught up on a piece of foam on the mechanism which then tears it away from the sides exposing the mechanism. The dealers solution to this problem was to add cable ties to hold the foam in place. Classy huh? Also the interior headliner is bobbling and wearing where it catches on something or other. Dealers solution - replace headliner but not sort out the 'something or other' so it has now started wearing again. Marvelous. |

| Looking good in MOC | My dealer told me that after all the demo cars were sent out (they nearly all had problems) they changed the roof manufacture to get over these problems, i was just trying to see if there was a link? I though of this only after i had posted it, i meant to put UK & Europe in the same one and USA un another but i dont think i can change it now! ![]() |
